Best Small Trailer Hitch and 4-Bike Rack for a 2016 GMC Canyon
Question:
What do you have for my new 16 GMC Canyon? I carry a bike rack quite a bit during the week, but I would like to be able to tow a small trailer from time to time.

I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch for your 2016 GMC Canyon # 76004 because it offers excellent towing capacity at a great price. Be sure to always check your owner's manual for you vehicle's tow rating by the way. I have a attached an installation video for a 2016 Colorado, however, it follows the same process as your Canyon.
A great wiring option for a Canyon without a tow package is the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Connector # HM11141164.
If your 2016 Canyon has a tow package where the connector installs into the cutout in the bumper, I recommend the Pollak 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring # HM40975-11998
The etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - # 989900 is a solid choice for multiple trailer applications for your truck as well.
If you're looking for a versatile bike rack, the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway # TH934XTR is another winner with Five Star Reviews.
