Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2 door. I was needing a hitch that I could install for a trailer that I am getting ready to buy. Could you help me out and also I would need wiring as well. Thank you!

For your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2 door, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Hitch Receiver, # DT78MR. This trailer hitch will give you the space needed with a spare tire attached to the back of the vehicle for you to access your hitch receiver, ball mount pin(s), and gives you options for other accessories you may choose to utilize in the future (such as a bike rack).
Along with your trailer hitch, you will want to get a ball mount and ball. I'd recommend the Convert-a-Ball Adjustable-Height Ball Mount, # TK5007, because it will be able to raise or lower to allow you to tow your trailer level. You'll also need a ball and I'd suggest the 2 inch Curt Ball, # 40038. The towing capacity of the Jeep Wrangler can vary by model year and equipment, so I'd suggest you consult your owners manual for more information.
As you noted, you will need a 4-pole flat trailer wiring harness like the 2016 Jeep Wrangler T-One, # 118416, for your wiring needs.
You may also want to consider a Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock similar to this one by etrailer, # e98882. The covered key slot keeps out the dirt and prevents corrosion, while keeping your ball mount secured to your hitch.
