Yes, the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13322, will fit your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. If you are looking to do some towing, I recommend looking at a ball mount like part # C45900. This is an adjustable ball mount rated up to 14,000 lbs of towing capacity and it comes with a 2" and a 2-5/16" hitch ball.
If you also need trailer wiring, I recommend the Pollak 7-Way Twist-in RV Trailer Connector, # PK11916. I have attached an installation video of this harness for you to check out.
