Hardwiring a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller on a 1994 Gulfstream Conquest Motorhome
Question:
I have a 1994 Gulfstream Conquest camper and need to install a Prodigy p2 brake controller. The connector under the dash is a round 4pin connector and is stubed up in the engine compartment with 4 wire, they are yellow,blue,gray/red,orange. The yellow wire has power on it. Do you make or know where I can find a pig tail to connect to the Prodigy?

On the Ford van chassis, the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 is normally connected using a square plug like # 3035-P. The round plug that you found is not a standard brake controller connection on these vehicles, so there is no matching brake controller harness available. We do not carry anything to connect form the brake controller to a round 4-pin.
I've attached a help article that will describe the process in more detail and you may need a circuit tester, like # PTW2993. To hard wire the P2 you will need the blue wire from the brake controller will be powering your trailer brake and connect to the trailer connector at the rear of your motorhome. The black wire will connect to the battery and the white is the ground wire. The red wire will be connected under your dash board to the stop light wire. This wire will be the one that has power only when pressing on the brake pedal.
