Difficulty Bleeding Trailer Brakes with Titan Model 6 Actuator  

Question:

I tried bleeding my brakes wit the 2x4 but my actuator did not move? I did not have the cap off the master cylinder could that be Why?

It does take quite a bit of force to manually push in an actuator with or without the cap on. But the cap should be off when you bleed the brakes. Also, the longer the board the more leverage you can put on the coupler and the easier it will be to move it. I recommend using a vacuum pump brake bleeder # PTW87030 which makes things a lot easier.

Also it is worth mentioning that if the fluid has no where to go then the actuator will only push in so far. So if you haven't opened a bleeder screw for the fluid to exit into a jar then that could be the problem. I have included a link to a video showing how to bleed trailer brakes that also might help.
