No 12 Volt Power at the Trailer Connector on a Chevy/GMC Pickup Truck or SUV
Question:
Every thing under hood a fuse panel is good wire hooked up 40 amp fuse in place trailer connecter is clean I have power on the red wire were it goes into harness under hood nothing in chassi harness under cab or at back bumper any ideas

If this is on a GM truck or SUV (which is what # PK11916 fits) then it is possible that the wire connected to the 12 volt circuit does not go all the way back to the 7-Way trailer connector. You would have to run that yourself using wire # 10-1-1 sold by the foot.
After routing the wire to the back of the truck it will connect to the back of the 7-Way in the 11 o'clock position.
