Will HBA-CAM Adapter Work with Brake Controllers that Don't Require the Adapter  

Question:

Hi, I have a company trailer with a hba-12, serial# 724301, that works great with our 2006 Dodge. I need it to work with a 2008 Ford also. If I install the HBA-CAM will it still work on the Dodge or do I need to rewire it when I change trucks?

The # HBA-CAM adapter will not interfere with the actuator working on your 2006 Dodge Ram that does not require the adapter. It basically just puts enough load on the output circuit so that the controller thinks a trailer is connected. That additional load does not interfere with the actuator working with a controller that does not need that as well.
