Can this be used on a pickup bed trailer ?

If the truck bed trailer had a channel width of 3 inches where the coupler would attach the coupler part # DM72VR would fit it and work well. The capacities for this coupler are 7,000 lb total trailer weight and 600 lbs tongue weight.

We don't carry the needed hardware to install the Demco part #DM72VR that you ordered but I can tell you that you will need 1/2" x 4-1/2" Grade-5 or higher. I attached an install video for this coupler for you to check out as well.

It looks like the weight of the 1996 Chris Craft Concept 21 by itself is 3,100 to 3,200 pounds. The trailer is probably not even half of that so you are looking at a gross weight of around 4,000 or 5,000 pounds which means the 7,000 pound actuator…

If you look under the coupler #DM72VR you will see what looks like a nut on the latch assembly with a spring behind it. I attached a picture that points it out. Loosen it slightly until the ball fits in the coupler and latches properly.
