Recommended Wiring Harness for 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe for Towing a Pop-Up Camper with Brakes
Question:
I will need a 7 pole connecter to activate my brakes on my pop up camper. Do I need wiring harness with the 4 pole connector to connect to the vehicle and plug that into the ETBC7 so lights and brakes work or can I use only the ETBC7 harness for lights and brakes?

Don't worry, I can help outfit your 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe with the right trailer wiring.
We typically recommend you install the 4-way wiring harness # 118571 on your vehicle and then install the adapter # ETBC7 to the 4-way connector for a few reasons. One reason is ease of installation the less splicing needed removes any room for complications. The second is because on vehicles like yours that have separate wiring, will need the converter to support the lights on the trailer and safeguard the vehicle's wiring. I have attached an installation video of the # 118571 being installed on a similar vehicle for you to check out.
The # ETBC7 will then adapt that protected 4-way to the 7-way connector you need for your trailer. I have linked an installation video of this for you as well.
To control the trailer brakes you will need a brake controller in the vehicle. The Tekonsha P2 # 90885 is a great brake proportional brake controller. A proportional brake controller means it senses how the tow vehicle is slowing or stopping and applies the trailer's brakes with the same intensity. This is the best selling controller on the market because of how easy it is to setup and use, and how well it works. The P3 # 90195 is like the P2's big brother it has all the same great features but it also comes with a full display screen instead of codes that need deciphering. The brake controller (P2 or P3) will include a universal wiring harness that will connect to all the connections needed, so you will not need another adapter.
I checked and the # 75772 trailer hitch you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe. I have linked the installation video for you to this page.
I have linked all the above products to this page for your purchasing convenience.
