I did some research on your Kawasaki KLR 250 and found that it has a dry weight of 258 pounds, the width of the front tire is 3 inches, width of the rear tire is 4.6 inches, with a 55.7 inch wheel base. The etrailer, part # MT70101, has a capacity of 500 pounds, and has a track width of 5 inches. Yes, your Kawasaki KLR 250 will fit on part # e98873 just fine.

To mount part # MT70101 to your 2006 Ford F-150 XLT you will need a 2 inch hitch installed if you do not already have one. For a hitch I would recommend the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Inch, part # 75506, which has a tongue weight capacity of 600 pounds.

The weight of part # e98873, 58 pounds, plus the weight of your bike mounted to it is considered tongue weight. You want to make sure not to exceed to the tongue weight capacity of the hitch if you already have one installed on your 2006 Ford F-150 XLT.

When mounting your bike to part # e98873, it is recommend to use tie downs to keep your bike secure. I would recommend the Soft Tie TCS Motorcycle and ATV Tie Downs, part # EM05729, if you do not already have tie downs.

I have linked the instructions and a video install for part # 75506.
