Differences Between Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 and the Swagman Chinook
Question:
What is the difference between the Swagman Chinook and the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2? FYI, this rack will be for a 2016 Forester with the Draw-Tite hitch. My bike has a 29inch wheel base and weighs 34 lbs. Ideally, Id like a rack that has a 45 lbs weight capacity and can handle 3inch wide tires. One that can fold up would be nice - Im open to any other suggestions you may have! Thanks in advance for your help!

The Hollywood Racks SE2 Bike Rack # HR1450Z, and the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Rack # S64683 are very similar racks. Both racks can fold up toward the vehicle when you are not carrying any bikes so you do not have the entire extension of a bike rack sticking out from your vehicle. They also have the ability to tilt away from your vehicle giving you additional room to access the rear cargo area, even when the bikes are loaded.
The Swagman Chinook has more clearance than Sport Rider 2. The Swagman Chinook is 12-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the back when in use and the SE2 bike rack only has 7-1/2 inches. When the racks are folded up, the Swagman Chinook has 6" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack while the SE2 bike rack only has 5 inches. Both racks will work with the weight of your bikes and the width of your tires, so either would work well.
Check out the demonstration videos that I have attached of these bike racks. Our installer demonstrates how each bike rack folds.
