How Does Hayes Brake Controller Wire to a 2007 GMC Yukon XL

Question:

Plug in the brake controlled in a 2007 gmc yukon xl denali by the fire wall. I have a wire 15416150 the car dealer sold me, to plug in the wire box by the fire wall. The wire are 5 wire and the Hayes are 4 wire no plug on the other end to plug in the Hayes to.

Your 2007 GMC Yukon XL has 4 wires under the dash that are to be used for wiring up a brake controller. The harness you have would be for newer GM SUVs and trucks.

Your Hayes controller would need to wire to the wires under the dash using the attached link as a guide. I also attached a chart that shows how each of the wires on your vehicle would wire to the controller.
