Replacement Tilt Pin, Cradles, and Straps for an Old Thule Bike Rack

Question:

I cannot find my thule hitch bike rack. It has a manual pin that slides thru a hole- it completely removes and has metal clip to secure it. Its an older rack and I need replacement cradle/straps, the blue tie down strap and help removing caps to slide cradles off.

It sounds like you need replacement pin # 853-5210-02. This pin is used on several Thule bike racks and other parts past and present.

The cradles are going to be a little harder to figure out. I have included a link to the Thule cradles that are still available. Even if there isn't an exact match you may still be able to use one of them if the outside diameter of the bike rack arms are the right size. If you could measure them that would be awesome.

The straps you need will depend on the cradle to a point. I have linked them as well. More than likely you will be able to use # 852-3006-001.

Removal of the end caps is going to depend on if the bike rack has screws holding them on from underneath or rivets. If they are screws just unscrew them and pull of the caps. If they are rivets then they have to be drilled out and you could then use screws when putting them back on.
