Could 2005 Honda Odyssey with Draw Tite Hitch Carry a 310 lb Ninja 250 Motorcycle

Hello, I want to ask if I install 2inch Class III hitch for 2005 Honda Odyssey and use motorcycle carrier that directly fits into hitch, would I be able to carry Ninja 250 about 310 lbs for long distance of 700 miles? Weight of carrier and bike is within limit of tongue weight of hitch. One concern I have is hitch sits quite low on minivan. Thanks for the help.

For your 2005 Honda Odyssey we have the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75270 listed as a confirmed fit which has a 675 lb tongue weight rating. This would make easy work of your Ninja 250 that weighs 310 lbs.

The Rage Carrier part # UF48-979033 would be a great carrier to use as it has a 600 lb capacity.

Since motorcycle carriers will end up carrying a great deal of weight they try to make the shanks of the carriers as short as possible to prevent adding extra leverage to the carriers. Doing this makes it hard to have rises built into the carriers.
