Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2015 Honda Civic Sedan Non-Hybrid

The trailer hitch part # C11391 is designed to fit your 2015 Civic Sedan if it is not a Hybrid or the Si model. This is a Class l trailer hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
If you are planning on doing some light towing I recommend a ball mount like part # 3593. This ball mount has a 2-1/8 inch rise or a 2-3/4 inch drop. For a hitch ball I recommend part # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball and part # 19258 for a 2-inch ball.
If you need trailer wiring I recommend part # 118420. When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
If you are planning on using the hitch for carrying a bike rack I recommend part # TH9058. This bike rack has a weight capacity of 70-lbs for 2 bikes and the carrier weighs less than 30-lbs. You will also need a stabilizer strap # 18050 which is required by Curt for unsupported loads like bike racks or cargo carriers.
If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes, I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance.
