I own a 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Ultimate Edition and it came with a four way connector for trailer lights. What brake controller would I use for my vehicle?

To use a brake controller like the excellent Prodigy P2 # 90885 in your 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Ultimate Edition that has 4-pole flat trailer connector you will first need to convert that to a 7-way type that has the additional circuits for trailer brakes, 12V trailer power and reverse lights, as shown in the linked photo.
You will use our brake controller installation kit # ETBC7. The kit has all the parts you need, apart from the controller unit itself. Two installation videos for the kit and a helpful article are linked to help you.
The P2 is among the best such items on the market. Our customers consistently rate this proportional brake controller with nearly a perfect satisfaction score - 4.9 out of 5 Stars. It will slow your trailer in direct proportion to the rate of deceleration in the FJ for less of that tug-of-war feeling between the vehicle and trailer.
