Recommended Camper Battery Charger for a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD w/Factory Tow Package

Question:

Will the negative terminal 7 pin connector charge slide in camper batteries when the truck is turned on, and then disconnect the truck batteries when the ignition is turned off? This terminal would be at 1:00 if the elec. brake terminal is at 11:00. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you are trying to charge the batteries of your camper with the Silverado's 7-way trailer plug. As long as you wire the 7-way connectors the same function to function this will provide you with a maintenance charge for your slide in camper but it will not re-charge the batteries.

If you need more than just a maintenance charge then I recommend a battery charger like the NOCO Genius Mini # 329-GENIUS5. This can connected to the campers batteries with the ring terminal attachment and re-charge the batteries.
