Would Ventline Roof Vent Fan part # VP-543SP Fit 6-1/4 inch Hole in 1984 Airstream Trailer

Question:

I have a Hammond Mfg Model CB-368-B original in my 1984 Airstream trailer. Motor has quit. It looks just like the Vanair unit here except my unit operated on a wall switch, NOT switch in the vent. Roof opening is 6.25. Can I install just the interior parts of this Vanair, keeping my current garnish ring and exterior parts? How do I deal with the power switch? I could also just replace the motor and blower wheel too I guess. Cannot find any part numbers on it though. Current one has a D shaft with two wires. Suggestions? Thanks,

The part # VP-543SP will fit the 6-1/4 inch opening you have in the roof of your trailer as that is what it is designed to fit.

I would recommend you remove all of your old vent and install all of the new components for the # VP-543SP and then run wiring up to the roof so that you can turn it off and on at it's switch.
