Front Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Ram 3500 for Use with Winch and Mount
Question:
Vehicle: 2016 Ram 3500 Tradesman DRW 4x4 crew cab 6.7TD automatic trans. I am looking for a receiver hitch mount or other method of installing my 12K cradle winch/2inch receiver mounted 2inch receiver, could be converted to 2-1/2. I previously had a drawtite front hitch on my 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 where we attached the winch. The new truck is significantly heavier than the older truck 9300lbs vs 7600lbs. I see that this hitch is rated for 9000lbs max pull, but it also list my truck as a fitment. Will this hitch work with this application? Thanks,

The Draw Tite Front Hitch part # 65063 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Ram 3500. It would provide you with an attachment point for your winch and mount as well.
Your truck is rather heavy at 9,300 lbs and the hitch is only rated for 9,000 lbs. I wish we had a higher capacity hitch but you have to think too that if you are using this as a recovery winch you are most likely going to have someone in the truck trying to drive the truck in the same direction so that the wheels are turning to help the winch along as well.
