Can a 2 Inch Ball be Added to Curt Weight Distribution System # C17500
Question:
Can I get a 2inch ball instead of the 2 5/16 ball that comes with the hitch. Can it be install on the hitch before it ships.

You could add a 2 inch ball to Curt weight distribution system # C17500 but we cannot swap out components from a kit. For a 2 inch ball you can use # A-90. All of the systems that included a ball and are rated for 1,000 pounds tongue weight are going to have a 2-5/16 inch ball and not a 2 inch.
To install the 2 inch ball # A-90 it takes a 1-7/8 inch socket. Rather than buying one you may be able to borrow one from an auto parts store. Or a local auto repair shop will probably install the ball for you and at most would charge a small fee if not performing the task for free.
