Is Rhino Rack for 2013 Toyota Tacoma Same Quality as Thule and Yakima
Question:
I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma double cab and for weeks I have been searching to find a roof rack for my truck. I have narrowed it down to Rhino Rack Vortex System and the Thule Aeroblade system. Every site I search wants to promote the items they carry and on forum everyone pushes the trendy items which is Yakima and Thule so finding unbiased opinions has proven to be a task. I noticed that out of all the sites Ive looked at though. You guys are the only ones that carry all of the major brands. So my question is are there any draw backs to purchasing the Rhino Rack Vortex System vs the Thule Aeroblade? Rhino rack to me has the most appeal because the system comes in quite a bit cheaper than the rest and they seem to produce just as many accessories as everyone else, but the price difference that makes Rhino Rack so attractive is also what gives me pause as the Rhino rack comes in cheaper than Thule. So I would really like to know quality difference between the two.

If it were me I would go with the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK174 for your 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab with a naked roof. We have installed all of the major brand roof racks and we have found that the Rhino Rack stuff is right at the same level as the Yakima and Thule stuff in terms of quality but at a better price. The Thule and Yakima stuff are very nice and they are some of the nicest quality stuff around, but for anyone who is at all price sensitive but still wants the high quality racks we recommend the Rhino Rack.
The only tiny little thing that's kind of odd with the Rhino Rack stuff is the measurements they list for the fit info on the racks. They converted from millimeter to inch and use strange fractions of inches but aside from that the racks install and work great. Check out the install video I attached that shows the Rhino Rack being installed on a similar 2015 Tacoma as yours.
