Recommend A Transmission Cooler For 2011 Subaru Outback V6 Towing Over 2000 Pound Trailer
Question:
Thanks for your previous reply regarding which hitch to use for the 2011 Subaru Outback I will be ordering. Which transmission cooler would be best for it. As I stated in the previous question, I will be towing a 2000 to 2400 lb. popup camper with a V6 Outback.

The item you selected, the Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D12906 will work on your 2011 Subaru Outback as long as you have room to mount it on your vehicle. The ideal place to mount a transmission cooler for maximum cooling efficiency is behind the grill of your 2011 Subaru Outback but in front of the radiator.
You will want to measure at the front of your vehicle to make sure there is room to mount part # D12906 as it measures 13 inches wide and 7-1/2 inches tall.
Another Transmission Cooler that I would recommend is the Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13503. I would recommend part # D13503 because it is a little bit smaller in size but rated to be more efficient than part # D12906.
I have linked an FAQ on transmission cooler below.
