Depending on the vehicle, and where the transmission cooler, # D13503, is going to be installed, it could take around an hour or longer. There really is not set amount of time because every vehicle is different and different size engines have more or less space and use different fittings.

For a 2003 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.7 liter, use Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings, # D13018. For a 4.0 liter, use kit # D13028 for 3/8 inch x 3/8 inch hose splicers, or kit # HH41413.

On a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you will probably have more room to work than you might on a Honda Civic for example. More space will help the ease of installation.

There are essentially 3 places you could install the cooler. In front of the A/C condenser core, in front of the radiator, or behind the radiator. The best place for the most efficiency is right in front of the A/C condenser core.

I have included an FAQ on transmission coolers as well as a video showing a typical installation that should give you a good idea of what an installation entails.
