Recommended Wiring Harness for a 2015 Lincoln MKT
Question:
I have a 2015 Lincoln that I am installing a Hitch on. Why do I need the Powered Taillight Converter and associated wiring kit. Why cant I just connect a flat trailer light connetor spliced in to the appropriate wiring?

A powered module is required to safeguard the vehicle's wiring and support the trailer lights. On your 2015 Lincoln MKT you have a combined wiring system, which means the brake and turn signal are sent on the same wire. The MKT also has light-gauge wiring because of the LED lights.
I recommend the # C59496 for your vehicle.
