Hitch, Wiring and Hitch Bike Rack for 2014 Toyota Prius V
Question:
Heya! I am inquiring about a hitch and bike rack for my 2014 prius v. I used your tool to match me up with hitches but I am unsure since I may want to haul a small trailer as well as a bike rack at seperate times. I was looking at this hitch 24847. Does this hitch come with the plug and play light kit? also, bike rack wise I am looking for something that has tilting options to get out of the way and also includes a hitch lock and bike locks. thanks for any info!

We can help you with a light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch for your 2014 Toyota Prius V. I do recommend the Draw-Tite # 24847 since it has a lower price and the same capacity as the Curt option. An installation video is linked for you. For a 4-pole trailer wiring harness you can use Tow Ready kit # 118610; an installation video is linked for this item too. Before towing anything check your owner's manual for the car's rated towing capacity.
In this hitch you can use a 2-bike Class I bike rack. All options in a 2-bike tilting rack with included locks are shown on the linked page.
For a platform style rack I suggest the Kuat NV2 rack # NV12G, also made of lightweight aluminum, which will fit the back of the Prius nicely even when folded up in its storage position.
