License Plate Recommendation for a Small Trailer Towed by Motorcycle
Question:
I have a small trailer that I am going to pull with my motorcycle. It does not have a light for the license plate. Can you tell me if it is require to have the plate lighted up at night? I live in Iowa.

Most likely yes, but you would have to check with your local DOT to confirm that. An easy light to use would be the part # LPL31CB. This would tie into the running light circuit of the trailer's lights and would light up the license plate.
