Recommended Brake Controller Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Prodigy P2
Question:
Im looking for the console connection harness for the Acura 2016 MDX. I have a harness supplied by Acura but it has different coloured wires than my former Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland harness for the Prodigy P2 controller. Thanks.

Great news. We've had a previous customer ask a similar question to yours and in doing so we found that the provided brake controller harness for your 2016 Acura MDX with the tow package will require you make a few connections to the supplied wiring harness. If that harness was used to install the brake controller on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland then you can get a new one right here, the part number is # 7894.
You will want to wire the # 7894 harness to the factory harness by function. White is ground, blue is brake output, red is stoplight circuit, and black is 12 volt power. I have included an image of the brake controller installation information the other customer provided us with for you to better see the functions lined out. According to this paper work Brown will need to be connected with the included butt connectors in the # 7894 to the white wire, the light green wire to the black wire, the violet wire to the red wire, and the green wire to the blue wire.
If you would like another mounting pod for the controller, you will want part # 7686. For just the mounting bracket you'll want # P7685.
I have linked all the above mentioned products to this page for your convenience.
