Availability of A-frame Trailer Jack with Crank At Rear for Truck Tailgate Clearance

Question:

I am looking to buy an A-Frame bolt-on trailer jack that has a sidewind as opposed to a top-wind. But the side winds on your site all have the crank on the front of the trailer, meaning that my trucks tailgate will hit it. Do any of them have the handle on the backside of the jack, towards the rear of the trailer? That way my truck tailgate can open freely.

The mounting bolt holes for the Bulldog # BD1550101344 A-frame trailer jack are each 3 inches on center apart. This means that the jack can be installed so that the crank is to the front or to either side, which might allow your tailgate to clear.

If you can get by with a 1000 lb capacity jack, the Dutton-Lainson # DL22530 can be turned so the crank is to the rear of the jack. I've linked you to a product demonstration video as well as to a photo showing the Dutton-Lainson jack installed so that the crank is to the side.
