Will Trailer Hitch Fit 2014 Acura MDX with Rear Sport Bumper Trim

Question:

I own a 2014 Acura MDX with Rear Sport Bumper Trim. Will each of the trailer hitches you sell for my vehicle clear the added sport trim when installed? Also, I will be using the hitch for a Hollywood Sport Rider 2 bike rack. Please provide me any information which would be useful to me to make a wise selection. Thanks!

The trailer hitches we offer for the 2014 Acura MDX will fit your vehicle with the Rear Sport Bumper Trim. This trim is the same shape as the non-sport trim, but is a different color. Since the shape is the same, the trailer hitches for the MDX will fit easily with the sport bumper trim on your MDX.

Of the hitches that are designed to custom fit your MDX, I highly recommend the etraler Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III # e98840. I like this trailer hitch because the cross tube of the hitch will be completely hidden behind the bumper. Based on previous installations of these trailer hitch options, we have found that the # e98840 hitch receiver's hitch pin hole will sit closest to the back of the rear bumper than the other hitches. This means you will be able to use the widest variety of hitch accessories with this hitch on your vehicle, since the distance needed to clear the rear bumper is only 2-1/2 inches.
