The S.h error code is indicating that you have a short on the brake wire, normally during an idle condition. I would recommend checking along the electric brake wires on both your vehicle and trailer to make sure there are no pinched or exposed points that may be touching metal. If you are looking at the front of your vehicle connector, the electric brake wire would be run to bottom right pin if you have a 7-Way plug. The electric brake pin on a 6-Way plug would be in the second position from the top, going counter-clockwise.
It would also be a good idea to check the ground wires on your brake magnets to make sure they are still in good condition, with no accumulated corrosion or buildup. A light sanding should clean the grounding area well enough.
I would be glad to look into this further for you if you could provide more information on your vehicle and wiring set up. Did you install the connector aftermarket, or did the vehicle arrive wired from the factory? Let me know and we can go a little deeper into the issue.
