Trailer Wiring Harness For 2014 Lexus RX 450h

Question:

I installed the trailer hitch and T connector 56083 T-connector Order #104063110 on my Lexus RX450h and the lights do not work. I checked the power at the vehicle-end connector and nothing but ground is working. I looked in the under-hood fuse compartment and it has a good fuse in the trailer lights position. It did not have one in the trailer battery position. I put one in for grins, no change.

The trailer wiring harness you said you purchased, part # 56083 is designed for vehicles that have the factory towing package. If you do not have the tow package on your RX 450h the harness will not provide the trailer power you need.

The trailer wiring harness for a vehicle without the factory tow package I recommend is the Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit, part # C59496. This kit is designed to work with the Lexus multiplex wiring system.

You can contact your dealership with your VIN and they will be able to tell you if your Lexus has the factory tow package or not.
