Brake Controller and Installation Kit for a 1999 Ford Ranger

Question:

I have a 1999 ford ranger with a factory 4flat 4 pin trailer connector and I am purchasing a a 16 1990 travel trailer with trailer brakes and a round 6 pin plug. What all do I need to install trailer brakes and a 6 pin plug to my truck?

To wire your 1999 Ford Ranger for a 6-way connector and a brake controller you will need a 4 way wiring harness for your vehicle, which you already have and a Brake Controller 6 & 4 Way Installation Kit, part number ETBC6, along with a brake controller you see link. You will attach your 4-Way wiring harness inline with the connector provided with the ETBC6 kit to power the taillight functions.
