Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2002 Acura TLS
Question:
I am trying to be as economical as possible with installing my hitch but more important i would want it to be as non noticeable as possibe. I was looking at the one that I would drill into the spare tire well but then realized I would still need to add a strap to the trunk, which I didnt like about the trunk bike racks. I dont want anything touching the trunk or paint etc. Could you make me a recommendation based on this? Eventually I may want to tow something small like a small trailer or something but I can buy a the added stuff later ball hitch, wire harness etc Right now Im concentrating on just using it with a bike rack. Thank you.

The only trailer hitch that fits your 2002 Acura TLS is the Curt trailer hitch # C11290 which does require stabilization strap # 18050 like you mentioned. This stabilizer strap has a rubber coated hook that goes inside of your trunk.
For this hitch to work for you, you will need a bike rack that is compatible with a Class I hitch. Class I trailer hitches are limited to 2 bikes maximum. For a Class I compatible bike rack I recommend the Swagman Trailhead # S63360. It holds 2 bikes, has anti-say cradles, and a 3-inch rise in the shank for better ground clearance. I have linked a video review of this rack for you.
