Trailer Hitch, Wiring and Ball Mount for 2016 Toyota Avalon Hybrid
Question:
Can you tell me how much I can tow with this vehicle?

The online owner's manual for the 2016 Toyota Avalon indicates on page 158 that the car should not be used to tow any trailer of any weight, should not have a hitch installed and should not be used with any type of hitch-mounted wheelchair, scooter or bicycle carrier.
Your owner' manual may indicate something else so by all means check its index under the heading "towing" to see what your specific Avalon's capacities are.
That said, Draw-Tite light-duty Class I hitch # 36540 fits your car. Wiring harness # 118578 is a fit for your car (see the linked install video) and ball mount # 36071 can be used with 1-7/8-inch hitch ball # 19256 or 2-inch ball # 19258.
