This hitch also requires that you use a stabilizer strap # 18050 as a support and extra safety measure when carrying unsupported loads like bike racks or cargo carriers.
I cannot recommend a trunk mounted bike rack for the 2000 Honda Accord 2 or 4 door with a spoiler attached to the rear of the vehicle. The spoiler will interfere with the attachment points of the straps that secure the bike racks to the vehicle.
