Fit and Compatibility of SportRack Roof Rack on a 2005 Honda Accord Coupe 2 Door with Sunroof  

Question:

Am I able to install a roof rack on this make and model. The roof is naked, and has a sunroof. The roof is curved, and its only a 2 door, not sure how it all works. Its going to be used to carry a SUP. Thank for your help.

Yes, the SportRack # SR1002 and the short roof adapter # SR1116 will work together to mount onto your 2-door coupe with sunroof. This roof rack will support up to 130lbs of weight. You will want to check your owner's manual to make sure that your roof has this capability before loading your SUP on top.

A great SUP pad and tie-down for your SportRack roof rack is the Rhino Rack # RRRWP03. This comes with pads that are 21-1/2 inches long. If your SUP is wider than that we offer them in 27-1/2 # RRRWP04 and 33-1/2 inches # RRRWP05 too.

It's important to note that you will want to keep your sunroof closed while the roof rack is installed because the two may come into contact. If you want your sun roof open you will want to be extremely careful when doing so to check for clearance. Usually customers prefer to keep the sunroof closed due to the increased wind noise after installing a roof rack on top of the vehicle.
