Where to Find 7-Way Circuits for Installing 7-Way on a 2011 Ford F-350

Question:

I have a 2011 F-350 Super Duty chassis/cab truck and am installing a 7-pin connector. Ive already installed a 4-pin flat connector that works fine. Now I am going to upgrade to 7-pin multiple connector that will allow 7-pin, 4-pin flat, and 6 pin round connections. There are three wires stubbed out of the wiring harness one blue, one blue w/red stripe, and one yellow w/red stripe. Are these the correct wires/colors for the additional three connectors in the 7-pin connector? Thank you for any information you can provide.

The wires you mentioned could potentially be the correct wires needed, but you would have to test to be sure.

You would need to test each for voltage when the correct circuit is applied. If one of the wires has voltage all the time it would be the 12 volt accessory circuit, if one has voltage when the vehicle is in reverse it would be the reverse light circuit and finally the last circuit would be for the brake output.

Most likely these are not the correct wires, but I know where you would be able to find them. Up on the truck frame there should be a harness that the 4-way harness plugs into. In the bundle the wires you are looking for are there. I attached a picture that shows where the wires are and which are the ones you need.
