Recommended 5th Wheel Installation Kit for 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
Question:
I currently have an 18K Signature Series slider installed in an 03 Ram. I am purchasing a new 16 Silverado 3500 and would like to know what rails and adapters I would need to make this conversion. Looking at info I think the rails are 30868 and I need to replace my existing slider rail pucks with kit RP58419, I think. Thanks for your help.

Expert Reply:
The easiest-to-install 5th wheel installation kit for your new 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 is a custom-fit type kit that will minimize the required drilling. For a 6-1/2-foot bed without the factory rail kit use kit # RP30868 that you referenced. You do not need the Reese Signature Series Hitch Adapter # RP58419 with your Signature Series hitch; use your OEM handles.
For wiring for the truck bed you can use the plug-in harness # 50-97-410 from Bargman.
