Compatibility of Thule Apex 2 Bike Rack on 2008 Cadillac Escalade w/ Vertical Receiver Hitch

Does the Thule Vertex 2 # 9028XT fit on a 2008 Cadillac Escalade with a dattelage hitch?

I believe you're speaking of a hitch with a vertical receiver tube, instead of the usual horizontal receiver tube. If this is the case, and the hitch has a 2 inch x 2 inch inside dimension, the Curt # C45013 Vertical Receiver Adapter might be what you're needing to use the bike rack. To determine if the # C45013 would work, you'd need to find the hitch pin hole in the vertical receiver, and measure downward from the center of the hitch pin hole until you clear the bottom of the rear bumper. If this distance is less than 7/8 of an inch, the # C45013 would work. With the adapter in place, you could then use the Thule # TH9024XT Apex 2 Bike Rack.

If the vertical hitch you have is a Bosal brand, which used a different latching system, not a hitch pin, I do not have an adapter that would allow you to use a hitch mounted bike rack.
