Locating the Stoplight Circuit On 2008 Chevrolet Express Van to Install Tekonsha Prodigy P2
Question:
I am looking for the wire that gets power when you apply the brakes on a 2008 Chevy express van. The blue wire with the white stripe does not get power when you push the brake pedal.

On the Chevrolet Express Vans, the wire the back of the brake pedal at the stoplight switch is typically a dead wire. Since the stoplight signal cannot be obtained behind the brake pedal, the signal will need to come from a different location on the Express Van.
The wire you will want to find in order to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 is typically light blue wire located behind the passenger-side dash. This is where the wires go into the Body Control Module (BCM). To access this wire, you will want to remove the lower section of the dash on the passenger side. You can use a circuit tester, # PTW2993, to ensure you've found the correct wire.
If this is the same light blue with a white stripe wire that you found, it should have signal only when the brake pedal is pressed. If it does not, I recommend checking for a blown brake light fuse on your Van.
