Recommended 7-way Blade to 6-pole Round Adapter with Hot Lead in Center Pin

Question:

so, I bought an adapter to go from my truck 7blade to my older horse trailer 6round. The brakes seized, and then I read the package that the center pin was the brake. So, apparently, I need an adapter with a center pin aux. Which of your products would work? Thanks,

If you have the Hopkins # 47549 that you referred to in your question you should be able to open up the adapter and repin the two wires to swap the function. Since there are two standards of wiring a 6-way in the market they made this feature available to do.

If you would prefer to just purchase a 7-way blade to 6 pole adapter that is already prewired for your type of horse trailer you will need the Hopkins # 47525.

Another really neat option is the Hopkins # HM47570, this adapter lets you switch between the two wiring functions without having to open up the plug. It has a prewired switch on the bottom of the connector.
