Availability of Wiring Connector from 4-Way Flat Vehicle Connector to 6-Way Square Camper Connector

I am looking for a trailer adapter to fit the 4 prong flat from my car to a 6 Prong square to my pop up camper.

If your pop-up camper is a Jayco, you can use the Adapter 4-Way Flat to 6-Way Square for Jayco # 30104. This adapter will work well to connect your vehicle's 4-Way flat to the camper's 6-Way square. Keep in mind that some of the functions will be lost with this adapter, but the taillights, right turn/stop, and left turn/stop signals will still work well.

If your trailer is not a Jayco pop-up camper, the best solution I can offer is to replace the trailer connector and your vehicle end connector with compatible trailer and vehicle side connectors. Square connectors are not very common, and the ones out there are not standard, from what we know, so there are not many adapters available for 6-Way square connectors.

The most common connector today is a 7-Way blade-style plug. I recommend using the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit # HS381-9000. This kit will provide you with a 7-way connector, a junction box to make all of the wiring connection in, and the ring terminals needed to make those connections.

For your vehicle-side connector, since you already have a 4-Way flat you can install a 7-Way connector using the # ETBC7 kit. This kit will provide you with the 7-Way vehicle-side socket and the wiring and hardware to install the connector and an electric brake controller, if you need one. If you do not want to wire all of the functions of a 7-way, you can just use the 7-Way connector # 30717 to plug into your vehicle's 4-Way and tape off the other unused wires.
