Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For 2012 Chrysler Town & Country

Does the wiring harness come with a trailer hitch or do you have to buy it separately? Thanks

The trailer hitch and the trailer wiring harness are sold separately for your 2012 Town & Country.

The trailer hitch I recommend for your vehicle is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 75579. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. I recommend using a Class lll hitch versus a Class ll because there are many more accessories available for a 2 inch receiver.

The trailer wiring harness I recommend is the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # C56331. You just plug the harness into the connection points behind the tail lights and then run a hot lead to the positive post of the battery.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
