Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2006 Lexus GX 470
Question:
Will this hitch work on my 2006 GX 470? If not, what is the part number for the compatable hitch with similar design. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

We have trailer hitches that will fit your 2006 Lexus GX 470 but # C13043 is not one of them. The hitches that fit your GX 470 require a different design to fit the vehicle. I recommend Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75155 which is popular for GX 470 owners. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
For trailer wiring on models that did not come with a factory 7-Way connector I recommend the ZCI harness # 119250KIT. With this harness you will not have to splice into the vehicle wiring since its connectors will just clamp around the tail light wiring to sense power going through the wires. It's awesome!
