Tow Bar Lighting Recommendation for a 2010 Yaris Hatchback
Question:
Good Morning: My Yaris has separate turn singles from my brake lights, my motor home uses the same bulb fro brake and turn signal. I think that means I need the six diode kit? Also do you have a kit that would charge my Yaris battery from the motor home lighting plug? My BrakeBuddy plugs into my 12V dash plug but Im worried about discharging my cars battery on a long tow. Thank you

While that is a keen observation, the trailer wiring on your motorhome would already have the signals converted to being combined like the industry standard calls for.
For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
To put a maintenance charge on the battery of the toad most people just run a 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 to the positive post of the battery to put a maintenance charge on it.
