Does Plastic Cover Under Rear of 2010 Toyota Highlander Get Removed to Install Hitch
Question:
I looked at your video and it was informative. However, on my 2010 Toyota Highlander, on the driver side, there is a piece of plastic covering the bolt holes, Can I remove the covering ?

Yes, the plastic cover you mentioned would need to be removed to install a trailer hitch on your 2010 Toyota Highlander. If you check out the video I attached you can see our installer removing this cover on a similar 2013 Highlander. The hitch in the video is a # 75726.
You will need to use a screwdriver to get the plastic rivets to release.
