Expert Reply:

The size difference between the two size is that the ST225/75-15 will be about 1.4 inches taller than a ST205/75-15.

For a tire in the ST225/75R15 size on a steel galvanized rim with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern you would want the part # AM32468. This is a radial tire which is a better construction than the bias-ply you mentioned.

A radial tire flexes more than a bias tire, giving it better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear.

A radial tire will normally run cooler than a bias ply tire, especially when the tire is under a load. A tire that runs cooler will last longer.
