How to Determine Clearance of the etrailer Cargo Carrier when Folded for Use on a Lexus RX300
Question:
Is there enough clearance when I fold cargo carrier for my RX300, Lexus? Also, once carrier is loaded, is there clearance to open rear tailgate for my RX300 as well?

The etrailer.com Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier, item # e98874, will fit on your Lexus RX300 when folded if the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the farthest part of the rear of the vehicle is 9-1/2 inches or less and you have a Class III or larger 2 inch receiver hitch installed on the back of your vehicle.
Clearance for opening the tailgate when the carrier is loaded is unlikely, unless the cargo on the carrier is very low profile. There is no way to determine if the load would be low enough without test fitting it on the carrier and trying to open the door of the vehicle.
