The Prodigy P2 from Tekonsha, part # 90885, would be an excellent choice for your application. It is a great controller with a lot of capabilities, but is pretty straightforward and easy to use.
The Tekonsha Voyager is tried and true, but it is a bit more finicky to set up with having to level the sensor. The P2 is much easier to setup and get started with.
Now, in 2007 when GM introduced the new body for the Sierra/Silverado, they did away with the brake controller ports and instead are providing a bundle of wires below the dash for hooking up a brake controller. I have added a link to an installation article with photos to help you install whichever controller you decide to use. If your truck came with a 7-Way from the factory, you can skip over the first portion of the article.
