To install the Hopkins Agility Brake Controller, # HM47294, on your vehicle you will need to install a 4 Pole trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle and then hardwire the remaining wires to the vehicle.

There is no wiring adapter available for your 1995 Chevy 1500 Silverado. The wiring adapter that comes with the Hopkins Agility Brake Controller - Proportional - w/ GM Adapter, # HM47294 and # HM47795, is only for 1999 to 2006 Chevy Silverado.

To get the 4 Pole trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle you will use the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118315. This wiring harness will plug to your factory wiring harness at the drivers side rear frame rail near the bumper.

To hardwire the brake controller you will need the Brake Controller Installation Kit, # ETBC7, which comes with a 7 and 4 Way trailer connector. To install the 7-Way and 4-Way trailer connector, plug it into the 4 Pole trailer connector that was installed on the back of your vehicle. There will be four additional wires sticking out the back of the adapter. The four additional wires are white, black, blue and purple.

The white is ground, it needs to be attached to the vehicle frame.
The black is 12 volt power lead wire, it goes to the vehicles positive battery terminal, with the 40amp circuit breaker included in the # ETBC7 kit. This black wire will also maintain the charge on your trailer battery while the vehicle is running.
The blue is electric brake wire, it will connect to the white wire of the duplex wire in the # ETBC7 kit which will then connect to the blue electric brake wire coming from the brake controller in the vehicle cab.
The purple wire is an auxiliary wire, and can be used as a 12 volt power source, or to power a reverse light or reverse lockout function if needed.

To install the Hopkins brake controller you will need to cut the plug off the back of your controller so you will have four loose wires that will need to be connected as follows:

Black: 12 volt lead, attach to the vehicle positive battery terminal with either the 20amp or 30amp circuit breaker included in the # ETBC7 kit. Use the 20amp breaker if your trailer has 2 to 4 brakes, or the 30amp if the trailer has 4 to 8 brakes.

White: Ground, attach to the negative battery post using a piece of the double bonded wire that came in the # ETBC7 kit.
Blue: Electric brakes, attach to the white wire on the duplex wire in the # ETBC7 kit from the trailer connector at the rear of the vehicle.

Red: Stoplight switch, normally located directly off the vehicles brake pedal. You will attach it to the wire that has signal only when the brake pedal is pressed.

This will give you a Hopkins brake controller and a 7-Way and 4-Way trailer connector on your 1995 Chevy Silverado.

I am sending you links to the installation instructions for the # 118315 wiring harness and the how to hardwire your brake controller using the # ETBC7.

I am also sending a video link of the # ETBC7 being installed on a 2003 Chevy Express. The vehicle is different but the wiring principle is the same as your installation.
